Adding the Course Feedback Survey to Your Blackboard Site

Scroll down to see instructions for Blackboard Original.

NOTE:

The link you create in Blackboard is a student tool. Faculty will get an error if they try to access this link, even in Student Preview mode. Survey results are available to faculty after the course ends. Faculty can access results by going to the Instructor dashboard in Qualtrics.

Blackboard Ultra

1. On the Course Content page, click the + to create content

2. Select Content Market

3. Under Institution Tools, click the + for Course Feedback.

Close up of the Course Feedback Institution tool, with an arrow pointing to the small circled plus sign at the bottom right

This will put the Course Feedback link in your course.

After you've added the link, you can rename it. To do that, click on the three dots to the right of the link in the Content area and choose Edit. This will open an editing pane.

Move the cursor over the name and use the pencil icon to go into edit mode. After you change the name, click Save at the bottom of the pane to save it.

When you are ready, make the link Visible to Students.

Blackboard Original

The Course Feedback Survey link is added to the Course Menu in Original courses by default, so you should not need to add it. It is set as hidden by default, so you will need to make it available by using the Show Link option in the menu when you're ready for students to complete the survey.

If your Course Feedback Survey link is deleted, you can add it back to the Course Menu:

  1. Click the + at the top of the course menu
  2. Click the link titled Tool Link
  3. Name: Course Feedback Survey
  4. Type:   Course Feedback
  5. Select Available to Users (if you are ready for students to view the link)
  6. Click Submit

Close up of the Add Tool Link screen, showing the options described in the text above
