Courses created after 5/1/2023 (fall 2023 sites) have "Instructor Choice" view. This means that you will have the option of using Blackboard Original Course View or the new Ultra Course View.

The first time you open a new course, you will see a popup asking which view you want to use.

A popup that says "Try the Ultra Course View! Want a simplified, easy-to-use course? Experience your course with the Ultra Course View." Under that is a button labeled "Try the Ultra Course View." Under the button is a link that says "I'll keep the Original Course View for now." There are icons of documents, a book, a pencil, index cards, a megaphone, and a clipboard.

If you click the Try the Ultra Course View button, your course will appear in Ultra Course View. There will be a banner at the bottom with a link you can use to return to Original Course View:

A gray banner that says "Explore the Ultra Course View! If you like the preview, you can permanently convert your course and save any changes you've made during the Ultra Course Preview. If you switch back to Original Course View, changes made during preview are lost." A link below says "Tell me more." A link on the right says "Back to Original course." Next to that is a black button that says "Use the Ultra course."

To remain in Ultra view, click the black button that says Use the Ultra course. To return to Original, click the link next to it that says Back to Original course.

NOTE: If you decide to return to Original, any content you added while in Ultra Course View will be deleted. Your course will be deleted and rebuilt.
