In order for scores in SoftChalk modules or lessons to pass to Blackboard, you will need to make sure you add your SoftChalk items with LTI links, not ordinary hyperlinks.

Whether you're using Blackboard Original or Ultra, you'll start out in SoftChalk.

1. Log in to SoftChalk Cloud and open the lesson you want to add to Blackboard.

2. Under Lesson Actions, copy the LTI Link (not the hyperlink).

Original (if you're using Ultra, scroll down)

Go back to Blackboard and go to the content area where you want to add your SoftChalk lesson.

1. Choose Build Content and choose Web Link from the dropdown menu.

Then…

  • Give the link a name and paste your copied LTI link in the URL field.
  • Check This link is to a Tool Provider
  • Click Yes to Enable Evaluation
  • Add the Points Possible
  • Click Submit to save it.
