NOTE: On August 8, 2024, Anthology updated the Assignment tool in UltraThe process has been simplified. Initially, the Assignment tool allowed insertion of quiz questions. The Assignment tool now allows the submission of documents/text/files only.


Creating an Assignment


  1. On the Course Content page, select the plus sign where you want your assignment to be placed and select Create to open the Create Item pane.

  2. Choose Assignment.

  3. A new assignment page with a box for the lesson instructions will open. Give your assignment a title, and click in the Instructions box to reveal the text editor to add instructions. The instruction steps can include linked resources, attached documents, videos, and other resources.

  4. You can set the options for the assignment using the Assignment Settings box on the right side of the page.

    Note: To see more detailed settings, use the gear icon to open the full Assignment Settings.

Once you've entered the instructions and added the Assignment Settings, click Save. Be sure to choose Visible to Students when you're ready for the students to see the assignment.

Students will see an editing box and submit button that you can't see in Instructor view. If you want to see what they see, take a look at your assignment in Student Preview mode.
