Subscribe to Forum or Thread

The subscribe feature is activated by the instructor when the forum is created or modified.

If you subscribe to a forum or thread, you will receive an email every time a post is made to that particular forum or thread.

Subscribe to Forum

If the subscribe to forum option has been activated by the instructor, then you will see a "Subscribe" button at the top of the forum window.

1. Click on the name of a forum to enter it.
2. Click on the "Subscribe" button to subscribe.
3. Once subscribed, the button will change to an "Unsubscribe" button. You can click the

"Unsubscribe" button to stop getting emails about posts from the forum.

Subscribe to a Thread

1. Click on the name of a forum to enter it

If the subscribe to thread option has been activated by the instructor, you will see a symbol that lets you know you can subscribe to a thread in the forum.

1. If you see the subscribe to thread icon you can click on the chevron next to the hyperlinked name of the thread and then click the subscribe link on the menu

You can also subscribe to a thread using the thread actions dropdown, or once you've opened it.

1. Click on the name of the thread to open it.

1. Click on the "Subscribe" button (found by hovering in the top right corner) of the Thread Detail window.
