TCC's Blackboard instance is hosted on a server far away from TCC. Very rarely, that server goes down, and when that happens, Blackboard access may be affected.

When there is an outage
If you are a faculty member and your students have a deadline while there is a Blackboard outage, you may want to contact them via email to let them know of the current outage. You can use the Mass Communication Manager to send email to all of your students at once. The directions can be found here. The other option is to access the Faculty area of MyTCC:
- Click on "Faculty Course Assignments & Classlists" in the Faculty Resources module toward the bottom of the page.
- Click "Class List."
- In the Summary class list. Select the check box in the upper left corner next to Student Name. This should select all students.
- Click on the mail icon on the right side of the page.
- This should launch your email with the names populated in the "To" field allowing you to email the students in your course.
