As of the Fall 2023 semester, TCC is using Tutor.com for tutoring services instead of Smarthinking. You might need to add Tutor.com to your course and delete Smarthinking.


Adding Tutor.com


Original

In Blackboard Original, here's what to do:

  1. In your Course Menu, choose the plus sign at the top and choose Tool Link to add a new link.
  2. Give your new link a name, then use the down chevron to expand the menu and choose Tutor.com.
  3. Check the "Available to Users" box.
  4. Click Submit. This will add Tutor.com to your Course Menu.

Ultra

In Blackboard Ultra, here's what to do:

  1. In the Content Area, click on the plus sign and choose Content Market.
  2. In the Content Market, look for Tutor.com. 
  3. Click the plus sign to add it to your course. 
  4. Choose Visible to Students to make it available.

Deleting Smarthinking

In Blackboard Original, you can delete Smarthinking from your course by clicking on the down chevron next to your Smarthinking link in the Course Menu and choosing Delete. Confirm that you want to delete it. That's it!
