Overview
Your instructor may require you to use Respondus LockDown Browser's Second Camera Mode for online quizzes and exams. When enabled, this feature requires you to use two devices during your exam
- Primary device: Your computer (with a webcam) running Respondus LockDown Browser, where you will complete your exam.
- Second device: A smartphone or tablet that records you and your testing environment throughout the exam.
The second camera provides an additional view of your testing area to help instructors maintain the integrity of online assessments.
Before Your Exam
To help ensure a smooth testing experience, be sure to:
- Have a supported computer with Respondus LockDown Browser installed.
- Have a smartphone or tablet available to use as your second camera.
- Connect both devices to a reliable internet connection.
- Position your second camera so it provides a clear view of you, your computer screen, and your workspace. You can use a book, mug, phone stand, or other stable object to help position your device.
